Join this event to gain an understanding of the engineering profession and industry through the knowledge of engineers who have entered the industry.
This event is intended for migrant engineers to gain an understanding of the engineering profession and industry through the perception and knowledge of engineers who have entered the industry, as well as a recruiter and industry leader. This event is the inaugural event of the newly formed Global Engineering Talent group in the Newcastle Division, aiming at supporting our local migrant engineers in developing their careers in Australia. The objective is to start a knowledge base in the audience to have a clear direction on how to begin their search.
The events will be run in two parts: a discussion panel for the first 45 minutes and a networking activity for the following 45 minutes.

About the presenter
Annie Lacombe is a Chemical Engineer with extensive experience in management, engineering, construction, commissioning, and production within the manufacturing industry. She is currently the Engineering and Safety Manager for MGA Thermal, an Australian clean energy company with a breakthrough form of energy storage. Annie is also a migrant Engineer who has worked in Canada, New Caledonia and Australia, navigating different cultural environments. She will facilitate our panel discussion.
